一線級の薬剤師(a top pharmacist)
３日ほど更新を休んでしまいました．
I took three days off to renew blog.
なかなか毎日更新というのは難しいですね．
To writing blog everyday is very difficult.
さて，薬学部の半分の学生は実験をしてデータを出して卒論を書きます．
And now, half of pharmaceutical students do experiment and provide data.
(experiment group)
and then they write graduation thesis.
もう半分は文献を読んでまとめて卒業論文を書きます．
Other half (thesis group) read thesis and organize them. and then they write graduation thesis.
昨日は文献組が卒論のために読んだ文献を発表する日でした．
Yesterday was the day thesis group make a pitch about thesis they read.
私立の薬学部の４年生で最初からばりばり英語を読める人はほぼ皆無です．
In japan, most of 4th students of privacy pharaceutical university can't read smoothly at first.
でも昨日の発表者は最初の発表から１年たった新５回生．
but yesterday's presenter was new 5th student.
スライドの形式や専門用語の訳し方で同じ注意を受けていました．
they was gotten warning about slide format and translation of technical term.
自分には必要ないと思っているのでしょう．
they apear to think that they don't need these skills.
ですが，先生のお言葉を借りると
But in the words of my boss,
「一般向けの解説書や日本語に翻訳されたものからしか
情報を得られないというのでは，一線級の薬剤師にはなれない」
''if you can only get information from Japanese text and non-technical guide,
you will be able to become a top pharmacist.''
英語でなくても論文では，分からない言葉に出くわすことが多々あります．
Regardless of English, in thesis we frequently encounter various unknown word.
そういった分からない知識をスムーズに調べて
自分の頭に論理的に詰め込むスキルがないと，
if you don't have skill that you serch unknown word and logically pack in your brain,
薬剤師はいい加減な情報を患者に進めてしまうことになりかねません．
pharmacist is going to provide patient incorrect information.
「この本に乗ってることは正しい」というような陳腐なものではなくて，
not a '' what is written on this book is correct'' but you have to think on your brain.
自分の頭で考えないといけない．
また，これも先生の言葉ですが，
Once again, to quote my boss's word,
「書いてある事柄がどの学問領域に属するのか，だいたい検討がつかないといけない」
''You have to darkly understand which academic discipline unknown word belong.
そのためには多くの分からない知識と出会い，一つずつ調べる以外に道はないと思うのです．
To that end, you have to encounter many words, and I think you no other course open to you than to one by one search words.
今日はありきたりな事を書きましたが，自分のボスの雰囲気が掴めていただけたのではないでしょうか笑

But I think that you darkly understand my boss's atmosphere.
